Mika Bajinski ist Sängerin und Gitarristin der Berliner Band Sometimes With Others.

Das Fernweh wurde ihr schon früh in die Wiege gelegt, und so bereiste sie bereits im zarten Alter von 3 Jahren ferne Orte, wie Madagascar, Seychellen und Cuba. Das Fremde ist ihr noch heute das Liebste und erfüllt sie mit großer Sehnsucht.

Nach ihren Jugendjahren in Hamburg und Konstanz am Bodensee machte sie sich auf die Suche nach dem Puls ihres kreativen Herzens und landete, über Umwege, 2008 in London. Hier fand sie zwischen Rockabilly Dive Bars und der unprätentiösen Noise-Szene Londons den Nährboden für ihr kreatives Schaffen.

Seit 2014 lebt und arbeitet sie in Berlin und gründete 2019 zusammen mit Marie-Claire Schlameus (Cello), Kristof Hahn (Lapsteel-Gitarre) und Yoyo Röhm (Kontrabass) das Bandprojekt Sometimes With Others. Im November 2020 wurde ihr vielversprechendes Debütalbum NOUS auf dem Hamburger Boutique-Label Grand Chess veröffentlicht.

Seit Veröffentlichung ihres Erstlingswerkes tourte die Gruppe in verschiedenen Formationen u.a. mit Mick Harvey, J.P. Shilo und Steve Shelley durch mehr als 14 Länder.

Die Sehnsucht nach dem Fremden ist geblieben, ebenso wie das tiefe Bedürfnis nach Verbindung. Musik ist hierbei ein dankbarer Weggefährte. Eine Welt zwischen den Welten. Ein Souvenir der Menschlichkeit.

Mika Bajinski is the singer and guitarist of the Berlin-based band Sometimes With Others.

A longing for distant places was instilled in her from an early age, and by the tender age of three, she was already traveling to far-off destinations such as Madagascar, the Seychelles, and Cuba. Even today, the unfamiliar remains her greatest passion and fills her with deep yearning.

After spending her teenage years in Hamburg and Konstanz on Lake Constance, she set out in search of the pulse of her creative heart and, by way of detours, arrived in London in 2008. There, among rockabilly dive bars and London’s unpretentious noise scene, she found fertile ground for her artistic expression.

Since 2014, she has lived and worked in Berlin, and in 2019 she founded the band project Sometimes With Others together with Marie-Claire Schlameus (cello), Kristof Hahn (lap steel guitar), and Yoyo Röhm (double bass). In November 2020, their promising debut album NOUS was released on the Hamburg boutique label Grand Chess.

Since the release of their debut, the group has toured in various lineups across more than 14 countries, including with Mick Harvey, J.P. Shilo, and Steve Shelley.

Her longing for the unfamiliar remains, as does her deep need for connection. Music, in this, is a faithful companion — a world between worlds. A souvenir of humanity.
